Peanut-King

That evening, I was sitting on the couch watching a movie when Peanut quietly walked over and settled on my laptop keyboard. I gently stroked his silver-gray tabby fur. He looked up at me with his yellow-green eyes and let out a sweet meow that contrasted with his majestic appearance. His polydactyl paws rested softly on my pants, like a pair of thick winter mittens.

As I continued to pet his fluffy head, he gradually leaned his whole body against my leg, rested his head on my knee, and soon began to purr softly. Watching him sleep so peacefully, I suddenly felt a deep warmth inside. This little one who had traveled so far had now made this place his safe home. In that quiet night, we simply kept each other company, sharing the comfort of this ordinary happiness.
